Over the last year structural transformation in the automobile industry has led to a significant reduction of demand. Therefore, shareholder and management have taken appropriate measures and decided to reduce capacities in the cold forging business. The Thuringian plant specialized in deliveries to the automobile industry and has therefore been hit disproportionately hard by the decline in orders since the beginning of 2019. The Möhling company acquired the Thuringia plant in the early 1990s, successfully developed the location over the years and qualified it for delivery to the automobile industry. The remaining production has been relocated to the location in Slovenia in the past few months in order to realize further synergies for the group.

"With the closure of the Umformtechnik Grünes Herz, we not only lose 54 loyal and experienced employees, an important chapter in our company's history is also coming to an end," says Britta Hölper, management of Möhling GmbH & Co. KG, regretting the necessary decision.

The strategic withdrawal from the Stamping/Punching and Deep-Draw Division has finally led us to the decision to dispose of our Haan production site. We were able to source an aspiring start-up company as a purchaser, namely Screwerk GmbH, who will take over the Haan production site as per 01 March 2018.
With this step, we are saying goodbye not only to a production process that has enriched our portfolio, but also to a bunch of long-time staff. We are very happy that we have been able to secure a viable future for all of them through the sale of the production site in Haan and wish them a good start under the flag of Screwerk GmbH.

The big anniversary year has begun. The year 2018 marks Möhling’s 175th anniversary.

We have come a long successful way and can look back with pride upon our achievements. What began with the manufacture of chain links, has now evolved into a state-of-the-art production site for technologically sophisticated connection elements. However, Möhling not only casts a glance back, but also looks to what lies ahead by continuously adapting to emerging market needs. Thanks to our highly motivated staff, we can optimise our production processes in the best possible way and deliver top performance without compromise. This again ensures that we are, and will remain, a reliable partner to our customers and staff. A bright future is on its way for us, we are reaching out to “connect” with it … and look forward to the next 175 successful years.

Viel hat sich getan im Bereich Ausbildung in den letzten Jahren. Die Ausbildungsrahmenpläne wurden überarbeitet und die Ausbildung in der Fertigung durch Einsätze in thematisch angrenzenden Abteilungen erweitert. So haben unsere Auszubildenden die Möglichkeit, ihre Kenntnisse zu erweitern und sich schon während der Ausbildung zu vernetzen. Ergänzt wird die Ausbildung durch interessante Seminare, Projekte und das Azubi Meeting, an dem die Azubis aller Werke teilnehmen.

Die Auszubildenden wissen das zu schätzen und so wird die Ausbildung bei Möhling in der diesjährigen anonymen Befragung, die durch die Ertragswerkstatt durchgeführt wurde, positiv bewertet.

Die MÖHLING Gruppe bestand im Januar 2017 erfolgreich Ihr Überwachungsaudit nach den Standards der ISO 9001 und ISO TS 16949. Die Auditoren der DEKRA besuchten im Rahmen dieser Audits alle Standorte des Unternehmens und konnten die Einhaltung der Norm positiv verifizieren. Somit kann sich die Unternehmensgruppe MÖHLING nun voll und ganz der neuen Herausforderung stellen: Die Weiterentwicklung unseres integrierten Managementsystems gemäß den neuen Anforderungen der IATF 16949.
