Möhling’s measurement and inspection equipment: Quality control all around!

Quality begins with the right mindset, the right machine setting and optimum equipment: In order to ensure reliable quality assurance at all times, Möhling uses not only comprehensive leading-edge measurement and inspection equipment in conjunction with its in-house test and gauge equipment engineering department, but also owns a state-of-the-art material testing laboratory.

The following metallographic investigations are conducted in-house at Möhling with the help of powerful equipment:

  • Universal testing machine “MAN Dynisco 0050168” for tensile testing up to 400 kN
  • “Struers DuraScan 70” for hardness testing to Vickers
  • “Dia Testor 2 Rc” for hardness testing to Brinell, Vickers and Rockwell C
  • “Koerzimat 1.097 HCJ” for determining coercive field strength
  • Vertical Analysis System Model “5413-2777” for torque testing
  • “Q4 TASMAN” for performing spectral analyses on steel, copper and aluminium materials
  • “Struers DuraScan 80” for hardness testing to Vickers
  • “Frank Finotest 38536” for hardness testing to Vickers

In addition, we work with recognised and certified materials testing laboratories that support us with special supplementary inspections whenever the need arises. Our in-house metrological laboratory is also excellently equipped. A team of highly qualified and specialised staff members uses (amongst others) the following equipment to assure the consistent quality of Möhling’s production and sample inspection processes:

  • Digital microscope “VHX-600” measuring microscope from Keyence
  • 3D measuring machine from ZEISS
  • “RDS” touch-trigger probe system with swivel head
  • Contourograph (“Konturograph”) from Mahr featuring an integrated roughness testing device
  • “Formtester” from Mahr
  • High-precision measurement system SM502 from ECM
